Private Knowledge-Sharing Community

The Council provides insurer technology executive members with insights on key issues. We enable knowledge sharing and provide quantitative data while fully preserving participant anonymity and privacy. Council members are invited to participate in short surveys, occasional one-on-one conversations, and private networking/knowledge-sharing events.

More than 300 CIO Members

Members represent a wide cross-section of property/casualty and life/annuity/benefits insurers, and range from small mutuals to the largest companies in the industry. Members are overwhelmingly CIOs, but the group also includes some CTOs or other executives. The Council is strictly private and accepts no sponsorship from vendors, and does not include vendors in its events or other activities.

Annual Event and Special Interest Groups

Our annual meeting is held in late April in New England, and includes presentations of Novarica research, CIO panel discussions, and invited guest speakers. On the second day, we break into special interest group (SIG) roundtables by line of business focus. These SIGs also meet throughout the year, either at Novarica’s location or hosted by one of the group members.

Case Studies and Awards

Through our Novarica Research Council Impact Awards program, we’ve published over 100 case studies of successful IT initiatives at insurers. Our members vote for the best cases to be honored with an Impact Award.
